Hell’s Canyon Millet – Rare awesome foxtail millet brought back to PEI from the Oregon Seed Conference. Grows extremely well here, tolerates temperature extremes & is very productive. Easy to hand harvest. 100 seeds per packet.

Emmer Wheat – Triticum dicoccum.  Known as farro in Italy. One of the first crops domesticated in Near East. Beautiful to grow as a small grain in the garden for diversity. This ancient wheat has less gluten than spelt, a small amount with a simple gluten structure compared to modern wheat. Good yields in poor soils & good resistance to fungal diseases in wet soils. Excellent flavour eaten as a whole grain. To cook, combine 1 part Emmer to 2 parts water, bring to a boil, then simmer uncovered 30-40 minutes. Low in fat, high in iron & fibre. 100 seeds per packet.
