3) Ethiopian Kale – Distinct species from common kale: Brassica carinata. Very tender with mildly peppery flavour. Fast growing, prefers spring & fall sowing.
4) Frilly – 60 days. Beautiful blue & burgundy finely serrated leaves reminiscent of lace. Delicate flavour & colourful addition to mesclun mixes. Produces until freezing temps, then overwinters to produce in spring in greenhouse. 150 seeds per packet.
5) Red Volants – Beautiful Dutch red ruffled kale that grows 3-4’ with a more open plant habit. Deep crimson red heavily frilled leaves intensify in fall, ideal for bunching or as baby leaf.
6) Tough Mother –The greens are soft & sweet with a little spice. Diverse cross. Extremely cold hardy.
